ApertureExpert Live Training Session 001: Importing Your Photos (part 2)

Welcome to the second ApertureExpert Live Training session!

What, you missed the first one? That’s easily fixable with a visit to the Live Training catalog, $2 and a large download :)

In this session, we’ll pick up where we left off last time and continue to focus on the import dialog. As you saw last week, while importing may seem like a simple task (and it certainly can be), there are lots of options in here that are worth knowing. The more you know, the better your file storage strategy becomes, ensuring a long, successful relationship with Aperture and your photos.

on Saturday, March 12 at…

Hawaii: 1:00 pm (1300)
Los Angeles: 3:00 pm (1500)
New York: 6:00 pm (1800)
London: 11:00 pm (2300)
Mumbai: 4:30 am (0430+1d)
Tokyo: 8:00 am (0400+1d)
Sydney: 10:00am (1000+1d)

Space is limited to just 100 seats—sign up early and read the attendance policy!

Did you miss Part 1 of this session? No fear, it’s available here.

Agenda

30 minutes - lesson
15 minutes - Q&A

Questions (Q&A)

Feel free to submit your ON-TOPIC question(s) any time during the session, however they will not be addressed until the Q&A. If you’re thinking of submitting a question, take your time to craft it into a logical, coherent question that I can read live and answer without needing further info. IT’S LIKELY NOT ALL QUESTIONS WILL BE ANSWERED—we simply won’t have time. A selection of the best questions will be chosen by an assistant moderator, and those will be sent to me (like a live call-in radio show; “Bob from New York asks…”). If there are several similar questions, they will be combined into a larger single question.

If you don’t get your question answered live, feel free to post it in the forum.

Download

Remember, you’re watching this for free, but the paid $2 downloadable version will be available at here at ApertureExpert.tv within 24 hours after the session. Even if you get to watch live, if you enjoyed the session, I’d certainly appreciate the support of buying the download anyway. Naturally you’re under no obligation to do so, but it’ll help keep us “on the air”!

That’s it! Enjoy the session.

Part 2 of the import session. The 2 videos were very helpful in figuring out just how I can import photos without making a mess of my library. Thanks!

After watching 2 live events, the next one cannot come soon enough. Joseph is showing us things I haven't seen or found elsewhere. Very helpful.

Great two presentations. There's always a place I get comfortable with an app where I seem to stay. Joseph is expanding my understanding of Aperture in an easy and enjoyable way. Looking forward to more.......

Moved post:
I liked the show. I guess i knew it all already, but really nice presentation of a subject which can help aperture users to become better in organizing their work. And i also rediscovered some features which i havent used for a while...good :-)
As a non-native english/american speaking person, the speech/pronouncing is very fast ! No problem for me, but i could imagine lots of people that could get into troubles hanging on.

K P,

Thanks… yes I know I do talk fast, and I should try to slow down, but there is SO much to cover! And of course with the video, you can always watch the same part over and over again :)

Thanks to all for participating, I hope to see you again!
