Podcast Down Again… Changing Providers

For those that have written in, I’m sorry about the podcast being offline. Many may not have noticed since I haven’t published a new one in a while, but that’s because I’ve been debating with blip.tv, the former host, on my “show”. Apparently it’s against their terms of service to post promotional material on there, and since I was posting trailers for my Live Training mixed in with the podcasts, I was violating their TOS. We debated for a month, and finally concluded that I had to take it down—then I forgot to in the heat of my move. They then decided to delete the account permanently because I didn’t get to it in time. Needless to say I’m not happy about this, but in all fairness I didn’t do what I said I’d do (delete the files in a timely manner), so it is my own fault. I do think they could be a bit more flexible with me, but their approach has been to treat me like a rule-breaking criminal instead of understanding that I simply forgot in a very crazy time of my life. Oh well. I need a host that will allow me to post promotional videos anyway, so this just forces me to change now instead of later.

I’m looking into Podomatic, Podtrac and Podbean. If anyone has any recommendations pro or con any of those (or another service entirely), please do let me know.

Until the change is done, the videos re-uploaded, and the feed re-submitted to iTunes, the podcast will be offline. Obviously this is fairly urgent, so again if you have any suggestions either way, I’m all ears.
