ApertureExpert’s Preset Pack #1 “Looks” |
ApertureExpert’s Preset Pack #2 “Looks” |
|
| This collection of Adjustment Presets is all about “looks” mimicking film, grain, and even a few Hollywood movies. Many of these presets involves a customized mask, which provides a look that isn’t possible to attain in Aperture alone. The end result is a collection of effects that you will find unique, fun, and flexible! Read more and see samples… (wondering what happened to the old “gradients” pack? Read here…) | Looks #2 is a follow-up to the extremely popular Looks #1 pack. About half of the presets are evolutions of looks in the first pack, and the other half are totally new! There are some vintage looks, pastel-ish looks, as well as two new gritty, edgy looks that look really cool on the right image. As always, you can tweak the look to get the most for YOUR photo. Check out some samples here. | |

ApertureExpert’s Preset Pack Split Tone |
![]() |
| Split Toning is a process where a B&W image gets one color shift in the shadows, and a different one in the highlights. These nine presets are all great starting points, but with a little tweaking can make any image look amazing. There are three presets each for red, green and blue bases (shadows) with colors in the highlights that complement the starting point. Check out some samples here. |

ApertureExpert’s Preset Pack #5 “Film & Funk” |
![]() |
|
The popularity of applying “aged film” effects to one’s photographs inspired this filter pack. Each of the eleven preset combinations includes a unique high-resolution scan of actual Daguerreotype negatives, applied as a Curves mask, giving you complete control over the look of the effect! NOTE: These presets work best on 21 megapixel images, and the cool edges you see in the samples above will not appear on smaller files! If your images are smaller or cropped, you’ll still get the great texture and color treatments, but the edges will be lost. I will be releasing versions of this pack at other popular sizes soon, including 18 megapixel and 12 megapixel. Watch the video or download the User’s Guide for more information. NEW: Check out this video on how these (and all ApertureExpert) presets work, and how to get the most from them! Visit the flickr gallery for samples. |
