Help With My Purchase
Q1: I just bought something, now where is it?
A1: Upon completion of the sale, you should have been presented with a download page for your purchase. However if that’s already closed, you will also receive an email with the same links. If you don’t see that email, be sure to check your junk mail folder.
The email should have the subject “Your Joseph Linaschke Photography - ApertureExpert.com purchase” and be from joseph@apertureexpert.com — copy that text and search your inbox if you can’t find it!
You will also receive a confirmation email from PayPal. If you don’t see any of these emails, and you didn’t see the download page, then it sounds like your sale didn’t complete. You can always verify this by logging into your PayPal account and looking for the sale there. If you do see it, you’ll be able to locate the Transaction ID as well (see below)
Q2: I know it went through but I still don’t see any of these emails!
A2: I receive a surprising number of bounced sales confirmation emails. Chances are somewhere in there, your email address was entered incorrectly. Just use the form below and give me as much info as you can, and I’ll be able to manually dig it up.
Q3: My download expired… or I can’t find it… or my computer crashed I lost everything… can I download again?
A3: Certainly. Downloads expire after 5 days or 5 attempted downloads, but can be reactivated as needed. The quickest way for me to do that is if you send your TRANSACTION ID, which is included in your receipt. If you can’t find that, I can also look up your Transaction ID using your INVOICE number, email address, or even last name—but if it’s a common name, it might be harder to find. Ultimately I need the TRANSACTION ID though, so if you send that, I’ll be able to reactivate more quickly.
Q4: I downloaded my purchase, but now I can’t find it!
A4: Check your Downloads folder. Unless you’ve removed it, there should be a link to it in the Dock, to the left of the trash can icon. If you still can’t find it, see the previous question.
Q5: I bought a preset/AppleScript etc. but all I got was this funny DMG thing. Wassat?
A5: DMG is a Disk Image. Double-click on it and it’ll open on your Desktop just as if you inserted a DVD or mounted an external hard drive. Once that’s mounted, follow the instructions in there (there’s always a ReadMe, or a User’s Guide, or something along those lines).
Q6: I have a question about how to use what I bought.
A6: We have a variety of support forums for just this purpose. Please visit those and put your question in the appropriate place! I ask all usage questions be posted publicly so all can benefit from the answer (hint: your question may have already been asked… feel free to poke around a bit, or search for your question).
Q7: I can’t find my Aperture Inspector serial number
A7: Every Aperture Inspector serial number starts with “INFOSTILL”. If you do a text search in your inbox, chances are you’ll find it. If not, then use the form below. If you have an old MACCREATE serial number, send that to us and we’ll update you for free.
Q8: Nice Q&A but I still have a problem!
A8: Then proceed with this form please :-)
